We wanted our kids (10 and 7 at the time) to try karate, but they were hesitant. My husband and I decided to try it with them for a month (with the assumption we would stop and the kids could continue). Well, about a year later all four of us are working toward our black belts!
The instructors are knowledgeable, consistent, compassionate, and encouraging.
We are so happy we are able to have a fun hobby AND life skill that that is good for the whole family!
When we first signed up my son, it was just to try it out and see what he thought. We have now been a part of it for over a year and can’t praise this place enough! Mr. Broyles and Mr. Simms are everything you would want in a coach for your child, excellent instructors and excellent people!
Our grandson loves going to All American Karate school he looks forward to each class and seeing what he will learn next and he likes the instructors
This place is absolutely amazing. My family has been taking classes here for almost a decade and they are kind, challenging, and helped my nephews grow up to be amazing humans. I will always recommend AAK for anyone looking to get into karate, no matter what age.

The instructors are incredibly patient and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment. My daughter has been at AAK for about 4 months and absolutely loves it. She has gained confidence, more flexibility and a sense of accomplishment. She loves Mr. Broyles and Mr. Simms and they always explain what and why they are learning what they are that week. She loves coming home and showing everybody what she has learned. She has made a goal for black belt and we are so excited to be on the journey with her at AAK.
Our son in just a few weeks of joining has been paying more attention at home and went from not listening in class (3 -4 classes) to being called on for demonstrations and has more confidence in himself. I love the effect this has had on him so far and can’t wait to see how far he grows in it.
Our two boys started at All American Karate three years ago. They have (almost) completed the Black Belt Candidacy program and are about to test for their black belts in a few weeks. The journey has certainly been a long one and I think there were times we all wanted to quit, but when I look back at where they started and where they are now, I am truly mind blown. They have become visibly stronger, but more than that, the growth I have seen mentally, is WILD. They went from being nervous and timid to being so mentally strong and confident. The instructors have mastered the balance of pushing them to their limits in order for them to succeed and also being super encouraging and instilling belief in them. This experience has been priceless and something I know they will carry with them throughout their lives. We are so grateful for All American Karate and how much they have shaped the humans our boys are becoming.
It’s such an amazing place!The teachers are great with all of the kids! I love how they teach them with love, support and patience to prepare them for any goals, current or future. On top of learning karate, they learn many other qualities like confidence and self discipline in each class! I would recommend American karate-sylvania to everyone.
Taking classes at AAK has been an incredible experience for my 7 year old. Her confidence has improved greatly since starting in April. I also have loved watching her stick to it even when it gets difficult. In the past, she might have melted down out of frustration, but now I can see her thinking it through and soling the problem. The instructors know them all by name and have even called me personally to tell me how great they think my daughter is doing in class. I can't recommend All American Karate enough to other parents.
My 5 year old has learned so much! He loves coming. The instructors are patient and caring but also have high expectations!
The instructors at this studio are top notch. My 4 year old is in the dragon class and the way that the instructor is able to keep the kids focus and get the kids to all participate is amazing. My son still has some undesirable behaviors at home but this class has given him motivation, confidence and incentive to do better.
